Daily Thoughts - Core Values: The Importance of Relationships

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! (Ecclesiastes 4:9, 10)

The relationship between two individuals is the starting point of all meaningful activity.

Achieving something on your own can leave a certain degree of satisfaction. Yet despite the difference that an individual can make it still requires the fundamental building block of society – relationships. The most exhilarating experiences in life are in relationship – a birth, the first steps, the first words, the marriage, the sporting success, begin and end in relationship.

A person is a person through other persons. We affirm our humanity when we acknowledge that of others. (Ubuntu Philosophy)
