Daily Thoughts - Is Anybody Listening? Does Anybody Care?

Out of my distress I called on the LORD; the LORD answered me and set me free. (Psalm 118:5)

It is tragic to come out of one form of oppressive slavery only to fall into another. No longer bound by the effects of alcohol only to be afflicted by debilitating anxiety. Free from an abusive parental relationship only to fall into an abusive sexual relationship. In the agony and despair it is often easy to wonder where is God, is He listening, does He care? It is easy to think He does not care, but in fact He does and He is able to release people from captivity in all areas of life by believing when He is called.
